VIRTUAL CLASS – Helping Non-Profits Raise Money in a COVID-19 World
The City of Auburn has contracted with Convergent Nonprofit Solutions, a national fundraising consulting firm, to offer two webinars in November for nonprofits on how to successfully raise money during these uncertain times.
Convergent Principals Andy Coe and Tom Ralser will lead the webinars. The first of the series, Fundraising 101 on November 10th from 10-11:30 am PST, will introduce participants to basic fundraising concepts including annual and capital campaign processes, methodology, and timelines. The session will also provide tips on developing a nonprofit case for investment and the realistic costs of raising money.

The second webinar, Establishing Asking Rights™ on November 17th from 10-11:30 am PST, will focus on earning the right to successfully ask for money. It will include best practices on cultivating long-term investors rather than one-time donors and go into detail on ensuring that a nonprofit’s outcomes are investable. It will also help prepare nonprofits to answer questions such as: Why should I invest in your organization?
